PBS' Economic Outlook panel discusses the Communities Initiative in a 26-min round table.
The Frieda Berlinski Foundation is extremely honored to provide funding for PBS NewsHour’s Communities Initiative as one of many grant providers in this large and extremely important undertaking that is very much inline with what Frieda believed in.
This PBS NewsHour initiative has the goal of bringing onto the NewsHour staff talented journalists with lived experiences and ties to where they work. Whether developing a young journalist with potential or bringing in a veteran with top-tier skills, PBS is putting together a diverse team of news-gatherers who can grow the community's project, build trust within their respective regions, and be valued assets to the NewsHour’s newsroom as a whole.
